Why don’t your soaps have color?

I keep my soap making as simple and natural as possible. Therefore I chose to not add colors to the soaps I create. Sometimes there is a natural reaction with the oils and the essential oils that may tint the ending soap various shades of cream, ivory, white, or other shades.

Do you use fragrant oils or essential oils?

I only use essential oils in my soaps. Essential oils will provide the best scent and qualities each essential oil is known to provide.

Can I use the soap on my hair?

As with any soap, you will want to try it on a small portion of hair or skin before using all over. That being said, the natural oils in the soap are meant to be safe on both hair and skin.

Why don’t you use palm oil?

Palm oil has been and continues to be a major driver of deforestation of some of the world’s most biodiverse forests, destroying the habitat of already endangered species like the Orangutan, pygmy elephant and Sumatran rhino. This forest loss coupled with conversion of carbon rich peat soils are throwing out millions of tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and contributing to climate change. There also remains some exploitation of workers and child labour. These are serious issues that the whole palm oil sector needs to step up to address because it doesn’t have to be this way.” World WildLife Federation

How can I keep my soap lasting longer?

Your soap will last longer when it is allowed to dry after each use.

Why do you use the chemical lye?

Lye is used in all soaps. It combines with distilled water to create the cleansing properties. All the lye is gone from the soap after the process called saponification.

Why are your boxes plain?

I leave my boxes plain in the hopes they will be re-used.

What environmental practices do you use in your soap process?

I make every decision related to the soap making process with the environment in mind. The labels are made with 100% recycled paper. I use water conservation practices in creation and clean up. I do not use any type of Palm Oil. I choose quality carrier Oils and essential oils.

What about allergies?

I encourage people with skin sensitivities to always try the soap on a small section of skin or hair, before using.
